I called the publisher or magazine customer service line and asked them who was responsible. Both times it was this third party company who had 'gifted' me this subscription.
I called that company and cancelled with much hemming and hawing and transferring to supervisors on their part. I just recently started getting the same magazines again though.
The scam comes when it's time to 'renew'. Just read some of the reviews on BBB, etc.
