Got no problem with planned peaceful protests. It’s one the most American things a citizen can do

Agreed, but it’s problematic to do it on Range at six. Will definitely disrupt some commutes.

Nope, I'm pretty sure the closest I get to it is when I'm on Pete's near Florida. Does it cut across all the way from Pete's to Range? I'm asking these questions and I live in Denham.

It cuts across to Range and Florida.

I don't drive down there if I don't have to, but that's because the cops will frick with you far more than the residents will.

It’s not like people are going to harm you for driving down the street
I’m not going to leave my car in the empty Albertsons parking lot right by there or cruise through after dark but the people are harmless for the most part

Denham Springs cops are the reason people hate cops. They're all short, fat, and think they are the shite.

You’re right but inconvenience is a small price for lawful protesting as long as they follow the rules

In that hood?????? They just do not care..... it’s like a mini north Bston Rouge. The so css as led parents sip tea on the porch while the 4 kids from 4 different fathers are running wild outside with zero supervision....

That’s why they are there....

Range has very large walking space on both sides. I'm assuming they aren't going to be ON Range, but on the sidewalks. I could be wrong though.

It's probably been 7-8 years since I've been down it but there was usually a decent amount of cut through traffic on Rodeo.

I'd get a few strange looks occasionally. Probably thought I was an undercover cop

Not a good look on his Facebook page praising business owners allowing their businesses to burn for the cause.

Also, shutting down a 5 lane road during rush hour is just being a dick.

There's been an edit to the post that reads:

quote:

EDIT: Since this post was made, our organizers have spoken directly with Denham Springs Police Chief Shannon Womack, face to face, and he has offered up his support and presence for this march, as well as other officers, to ensure the safety of both the community and the protesters.
He asks that NO GUNS OR WEAPONS are brought, as well as NO VIOLENCE. He also asks that we refrain from blocking Range Avenure. He believes, and I tend to agree for the most part, that our voices can still be heard and our message can still be effective without blocking traffic.

Let’s do this, Denham Springs! ????????
