Oh because calling you out for this stupid post means I’m a filthy lib right?

It occurred to me this morning that any time there is a protest, I find that I am for whatever the protest is against. Even when it's something that I might consider valid, the fact that foul, unwashed and often paid "protesters" are there makes me instantly support the opposing side.

One, this just lets everyone know what a fricking moron you are. Two, this belongs on the poli board. Three, you’ll probably fit in great over there with this line of thinking.

What people don't seem to get is that protests aren't done to get people to change their views. Protests, especially violent or traffic blocking protests are resented and have the opposite effect on opinion. Protesters know this.

Why do? Protesting is a business. It's entry level show business, an attempt to be an opinion source and a media star. That is a practical possibility now with internet media. Sell a product, endorse a tennis shoe, market speaking opportunities at shite schools, publish a co-authored or blind-authored book,. That's how the panthers, me-too, antifa, maga, kneel for the anthem, not my body, etc all work. Some can be profitable if you can get enough attention.

Nearly 70 protesters arrested during demonstrations following Alton Sterling's fatal shooting in July 2016 will each receive from $500 to $1,000 under a class-action lawsuit settlement approved Friday by a Baton Rouge federal judge.

And don't forget their bail money was paid for by others. So they were able to pocket that money for a few hours in jail and 1-2 days in BR.
