I always love this line of thinking. So does that mean we can have parades every other month of the year then, and nobody will be upset? I mean, we get the rest of the year for straight pride.

Not at all. I’m suggesting that if you think a straight pride month is a good idea, you’re probably saying it for spite, you know since gay pride month is such a bad idea (what else could it be, who really wants a straight pride month?) and that could indeed, make you a redneck.

i'm not.
as far as I'm concerned: straight people don't need a month, a celebration, or a parade. we have the God given ability to procreate our own children, that the LGBT#LMNOP@XYZ don't have and will never have. that's plenty for me. LGBT#LMNOP@XYZ can have their Pride month, Pride parade, Pride celebrations just don't expect the straight people of the world to GAF.

Wanting the month or not isn't the issue here. The problem is people saying hetersexuals don't deserve their own month. That's exclusionary and intolerant, right?

Maybe it is, I just can’t get past the snowflakeyness of asking for your own month on either side. Personally, I’ve never felt discriminated against for being straight.

We don't have to understand. As Americans, we do have to respect the fact that they have the right to want it though.
The problem here is the same people that advocate for the LGBT pride are the ones shouting down the hetersexual pride.

The Vice Mayor was seen protesting Gay Pride month? Call me crazy, but I'm pretty sure he said he didn't have a problem with it.
