GTFOutta here. There's no way a rational person with a working brain would ever say that much less believe it.

A lot of assumptions in that post.
First, Evangeline Parish, thanks to it's Sherriff, can't afford to have more than a handful of deputies patrolling the entire parish. It wasn't that long ago that he had 2 deputies patrolling the entire parish, and told residents to arm themselves. So, it is unlikely that another deputy was within 15 minutes of Deputy Lafleur (and I'm sure this will come out of the LSP investigation at some point).
Second, you are assuming he purposely shot Guillory. If the story is indeed true that she went for his gun, the gun could have gone off during the scuffle. I'd also be surprised if Guillory remained on the ground the entire time (although he may have).
Third, as already mentioned, this is rural Evangeline Parish. I probably would have drawn the gun after being hit as well, if you believe that side of the story.
Regardless, everyone is basing their opinions on 2 stories. The assumption is that these "facts" released from LSP are based on the officers story, until they say otherwise. The protesters are basing their argument on what the girl said. I would bet that the real story is somewhere in between, even if it is still skewed towards one of the stories being told.

Clearly you never been in a small town where one deputy is the norm. As for shooting him in the back I need to wait for more evidence on this cuz it's very hard to justify unless the woman did jump on him back and it was accidental

Uh, you do realize this was someome with the New Black Panther party, right?
Go look up the second live video from KATC on their facebook page. She clearly says it in the video.

shooting someone in the back is not necessarily a sign of wrongdoing.
clearly didn't have backup but at no point reached out, many say that's done before ever exiting the car....
after reading the released statements, i would like to know what scenario would indicate "to the back" is indeed justifiable. No one knows yet but if so.

How can that ever be genuinely validated? Two ppl are alive, any argument between them cant ever be confirmed but by all means I agree with your response. The only kinda gray area to me is her reaching for the gun. After the cop kills the victim, calls in back up, of course he knows he better have justification and that would be a "go to".
I'm not saying Guillory is innocent, i'm simply saying we cant say the cop did zero wrong when it hasn't been confirmed with evidence.
It seems if you keep an open mind while waiting to find out, people think you're insane and siding with the victim/anti-cops.
Cops cover this nation top to bottom and thankfully so but to think they never make poor choices is absurd. .001% wont determine how I feel about them and the respect I have for them.

Perhaps, but when you know you're likely the only unit within 30 mins, you may not bother to call for it. I'm sure he likely touched base with dispatch, although I don't know for sure. Just a guess.

Like someone said, if there was a struggle over the gun and the guy could've gotten shot in the process. Also, if the cop gets thrown off by the guy and he's getting up for another possible attack, then that could be justified. Remember, the whole incident escalated when the cop got punched in the head. I believe it would be reasonable for him to assume the attack would continue.

I mean we gonna fault her for calling him her child?
Here's a few quotes from the mother that haven't been mentioned showing what kind of person she is.....
"My family and I have forgiven the deputy that murdered our son," Fontenot said. "We don't have no room in our heart to grow hatred and justice is important to us because our son was taken. The chain of our family is broken."
"Aspect of this that disturbs me is the young lady, who was not armed is charged with attempted first degree murder," Attorney Pride Doran said. "Where is the person who was armed and did in fact killed someone is at home on paid administrative leave."

All that is simply emotional conjecture at this point.
