I agree. I don't buy a drop of gas from RaceTrac. Their coffee is good, though.

I think it depends on the flavor, but I rarely buy off-brands.

Okay, not sure on this one. I buy the store brand all the time here. Mayfield and Borden are noticeably better to me than others, but that's about the extent of it.

I do notice that you can't really skimp out on batteries. Those no name brands last maybe a 1/4 of the life of Duracell or Energizer.

I'm not talking about a gourmet Raspberry Vinaigrette. I'm talking about basic Italian, French or Ranch Dressing. They're all the same.

Other than getting old fuel or fuel with water in it, I know of no fuel that is "better" than the other. octane grades make a difference, but not brand. IMO.

Borden, Browns, Walmart, Kleinpeter, etc. They all taste the same. 2% lowfat is 2% lowfat. Skim tastes like shite no matter who makes it.

For me as a woman, good panties and bras. Makeup. Razors. Hairstylist. Oven. Dish soap. Lotion.

No way

CSB - When my cousins were little, they swore they could taste the difference in Kleinpeter milk. So my aunt came home with 4-6 different types and set up a blind taste test with each one of them. All 3 of them picked kleinpeter every time.

I only buy Kleinpeter, the others taste weird.

To answer the question, they are brands that I am loyal to, but i typically find that if you buy something cheap, you'll be replacing it more often. I can't say that I skimp on much of anything, but I do look for the best deal on items that I buy regularly or plan to buy.

nothing more unflattering on a woman than bad panties. Style is more important than price though. As for bras, meh. How would you know its a cheap bra?

You know! I bought a bra at Khols one time and after wearing it for like a day it started to squeak every time I walked. Annoying!

Has to do with the level of detergent additives in them. There is definitely a difference. Is there a difference between, say, Shell and BP? No. Between either of those and Sam's Club? Absolutely. When my wife and I were dating, she had a Jeep Cherokee that ran fine if you filled it with BP, Shell, Chevron, or any other major brand. If we used RaceTrac, the engine would knock before long and would only correct when we cycled "good" fuel back through for a tank or so.

Agreed, but I have had Mayfield and Borden's skim and it tastes better, for sure. Still wouldn't do skim milk unless it's all that was available, but there is a difference in the consistency.
