Products similar to Flex Seal?

Recently found out that the wood siding on the back side of my shed isn't actually wood at all, it's more like a very compressed cardboard material. I've noticed for some time now that one corner near the ground is pretty rotten and kept putting off the repair. I started repairing it this weekend and when I pulled off that piece of siding, it crumbled in my hands. Not because of rot, but because of it being WET CARDBOARD.
I bought the house two years ago and it wasn't showing any signs of rot back then but the shed did flood in 2016 so I'm guessing it started then since the water sat there for four days.
Either way, I replaced the rotten pieces with new wood siding and I'd like to replace all of it with wood siding instead of leaving the shitty compressed cardboard-like material but I'm an OT baller on a budget.
Is there a product cheaper than Flex Seal but that works the same way I can roll onto the siding to seal it really well, then paint over that? I would like to prevent the rest from getting water intrusion and rotting in the future.
TIA

Whatever it is is pure shite. I can't believe the guy who owned the house before me used that shite for an exterior application. Pisses me the frick off. frick that guy.

Yeh, but the quantity you get, at the recommended application rate, will cover and 4 sq. ft.
To the OP, I think you'd get away cheaper replacing the siding. And you'll get a better end product.

Yea, flex seal is for small projects really.

Then replace it with actual siding.
You’re asking about replacing siding with flex seal and painting over it.

Quite common with that siding.

I know. Replacing all of it really is the right answer. I guess I'm just looking for a way to rig the shite up better than the previous owner rigged the shite.

This might be the most janky home repair attempt I’ve ever seen
Get some hardiboard, paint it every 10 years or so

Put hardi-board siding. Similar price to wood siding but doesn’t rot

My screendoor-bottom boat laughs at this assertion.
