That comes across pretty gay. Would you let them clean the poop off first?

How is it that it is 2018 and the only way to check a prostate is to stick a finger in your arse?

Be suspicious if the doc asks you to close your eyes first

Ain't it the truth.
My late Dad and I used to watch the original Shatner Star Treck. He loved it and watching the communicator, told me that one day we'd be able to talk to each other like that even on the other side of the planet. At the time I thought it was the toddy talking.
So if they can do that where is the fulfillment of the medical scanner?

I was 15 years late for my first one. I had it last year at age 65. They found a number of large polyps. I had to be stapled. Fortunately, the polyps were not cancerous.
I had my second this summer and they found fewer polyps, but they were big ones again and I was stapled. I haven't heard officially yet, but the doctor said he didn't think there was a problem and put me on a 2 year plan.
When I was awaiting the results of the first colonoscopy I thought, "what if I have cancer?" All I could think about was how stupid I had been and how I could have prevented things if I had just undergone a colonoscopy 15 years earlier at the age of 50.
So, guys, don't be as dumb as I was, get that colonoscopy when your doctor recommends you have one.

It’s so easy. Had mine at 41. Family history. I was clear. Doc said to come back at 50. So you shite your brains out for 5 hrs. That’s the hard part. You won’t even remember the test. Beats not doing it and having something they can’t fix.

Lambdatiger1989, you are absolutely correct.

If you have family history you need to tell your doc and get screened early. A co-workers wife just died of colon cancer at 37. She had been screened at 30 because of family history and polyps were removed. She skipped the 35 check and was dead 2 years later.

It's 50 or if there is a family history 10 years earlier than age that the cancer occurred, whichever comes first.

This. This was the point of the joke. Generate discussion and come to your conclusion. It took my physician's loved one's death and his evident concern to knock the stupid out of me.
Thanks for sharing that.

It’s actually 45 now as of very recently. There has been an increase in cases of younger adults with colorectal cancer thus the screening recommendation has changed. The alternative timeframe is 10 years prior to when your youngest 1st degree relative was diagnosed.

Did mine back in January (I’m 52) along with the upper scope. I got the rare 10 year clean bill of health.
