I'm based close to nola, but would prefer a Hammond, slidell or Picayune based craft. For cheaper storage and fuel.
If I found the right partner I could go for a Hammond base. I’m not entirely particular about which type of plane it is as long as it’s in my budget and seats 4. I’m also not in a huge rush so when you decide your ready you can hit me up and maybe it’ll work out.

getting an airplane, baw?
I really want to but I’d rather do it with a partner or two. I don’t think I’d fly it enough to justify owning one all on my own. May as well share the expense.

Are you sure you are ready for that? Might want to get a few more hours under your belt.

got checked out in a 172 to take the old lady flying about 15 or so years ago, flight school had a really cute female instructor, of course I get the nerdy male instructor, we sit down and he starts off by asking how much time I had, don't remember what it was, probably about 16-18k, and he goes, well, that may sound impressive and all..., hot female instructor blurts out, damn right it does, I wish I had a tenth of that, I'm thinking to myself, I want her as my instructor

I am planning on starting to take lessons this fall. I am preparing for my written now. I signed up for the online course with Kings School and should be complete in about a week. I am going to try to schedule my exam in about 30 days. I was going to sign up for the ground school this fall, but I am in a pretty rural area and it did not appear there would be enough interest. A local pilot was the one that told me about Kings School online training (app based that you can do offline).

I am in rural Alaska so fall winter can be pretty sketchy with weather so I am not sure how many hours I will actually get in this fall/winter.
