Princeton is basically a liberal arts college compared to MIT.

I could not have gotten into either of those schools so it wouldn’t matter what i thought, to be honest

If given the chance to go to either school for a STEM degree, which would you pick? Visited Princeton yesterday and the IAS, beautiful campus.
Idk Princeton’s has the old school winged helmets in orange but MIT’s mascot is a beaver, which I’m a big fan of.

My boss’s son is going to be a senior at Princeton and loves it, and has gotten some amazing job offers for post grad. My step-mother in law also went to Princeton and still talks about her time there.
My brother in law graduated MIT for undergrad, and now is a professor there.
Both will absolutely set you up for life if you have any sense of social skills. Seems like campus life at Princeton is better but the Boston aspect of MIT is nice.

“Being set up for life” is a big ask if you don’t come from money. Ask how I know.

Princeton has the Institute for Advanced Study which has had members like Einstein, Oppenheimer, Godel, and Von Neumann. Pretty impressive list.
MIT has a top notch AI laboratory and computer science department.
In other words, Princeton might be better for things like theoretical physics, while MIT is probably better for the applied sciences, engineering, comp-sci, etc.
