Looks like the restrictions are from 6:30pm tonight until 1pm tomorrow. Hopefully no one is flying through BTR then

At least on a private plane. I doubt seriously it impacts commercial airline traffic all that much except when they are actually taking off and landing.

If he's staying downtown, traffic probably won't be bad until he makes for the airport after is grinder date in Manchac Park.

He's staying downtown somewhere according to the papers. Probably the Hilton. Maybe the Governor's mansion.

News said he is staying at Holiday Inn next to Ruth Chris.

Its a smaller motel, so they rent out all the rooms for easier security.

College/I-10 area.....no traffic problems there.

Supposedly the VP's 757 will be Air Force One on this stretch because he visited somewhere in Kansas with a tiny runway today. That's kind of surprising. Won't see the big 747 at BTR this time around.

You calling homeland security to ask the times and route Obama is taking is one of the best things I've seen on here in a while.

That may be where they say he is staying, but I bet that is not where he really stays, really don't see why he does not sleep on AF1

I'm just wondering why the news would even report that. Not from a security stand point by why that's even a relevant detail. "...and tonight the president will be sleeping in the holiday inn, now for the weather"

Passed by on the way home from work. Local police road blocks at every entrance. Parking lot was empty. Pretty cool.

Yes, the local news said he is staying at a hotel on Constitution Avenue tonight. Ironic, huh?

Well that is somewhat disappointing. I thought about heading up to BTR to see it. My dad and I did that when Clinton came, you could see that 747 towering over the terminal

I remember at the time, the runway was technically too short for that plane ( I think)

That's a Holiday Inn Express.

Maybe tomorrow, he'll actually know how to be President.

Still is for a normal loaded 747, but AF1 only has space for 45 passengers plus crew, less weight , needs less fuel, shorter take off and landing distance.

Because President Obama is in Baton Rouge #OleMiss will have to bus to Lafayette after the game -- about an hour -- to fly home.

Ransom question, but why is a 747 bigger than a 757?

Probably a good question for Boeing. I think they just name them as they are released
