I feel like I'm getting the run around. Considering cancelling the order, but I don't want to be a d*ck since the lenses are specific to my kid....they are not a huge national retailer, but seem to be a local shop that does online sales. Feels to me like they are in over their heads.

1. Placed order on Tuesday 8/14 @ 8:00am
2. Called, left voice mail, and emailed on Friday 8/17 because I hadn't gotten the order status info that the system said I would get when I placed the order.
3. Left a poor review on google around 6:00pm on Monday 8/20 because I had received no info, no follow up, nothing.
4. Get a call and then f/u email about 30 minutes after leaving the review, saying that everything was 'moving along nicely' and that the lenses are in surfacing. Should finish and ship at the end of the week.
5. Follow up again on Tuesday, 9/4 after hearing nothing since 8/20. "lenses have about 2 days to go at the lab and then they'll ship to us. We'll ship out to you on the same day"
6. Today....I want the glasses, but I don't need them and I'm tired of screwing with these folks.

We're a month since order date and I have nothing. Is this reasonable for semi-custom glasses?

Over a month? Yeah that’s way too long.

Did you use vision insurance?
Last time I used my insurance to buy glasses, it took almost two months.
Ordered online with no insurance last time and got them the next week.

No insurance. Got him a good everyday pair a few months back with that. These are for specifically for sports, but not really something I'd consider highly specialized....just some under armour

Were these Costas or Maui Jim's or some other sunglass only brand? I know for some Mauis with the thin light glass you have to wait about a month, otherwise it takes 3-4 days. If you are going through Costa and you are using insurance to cover, then you are dealing with Essilor and a Costa approved lab ...... if so, a month is the furthest it should go.

Are these mirrored sunglasses? Because that really could be the reason for this length of time although a month is pushing it

Thats my thought. They are pretty plain jane. Clear lenses, no premium coatings or anti glare....quite literally as basic as it gets.

I've emailed the guy again. I'm thinking if he can't give me a legit tracking number today, I'm cancelling the order.

My prescription Maui's came in about 5 days through St. Charles Vision. I had some prescription Costa's a few years ago ordered online and got them in 8 days.
