WW3 is about to happen and my country spends an average of $800 billion per year on defense.
I guess since I have no choice I'll just be optimistic and say I like my chances.

Unless North Korea's ballistic missile program is far more advanced than anyone knows, you'll be safe. I think they might be able to hit Hawaii but I think that's about as close as they can come right now to hitting the USA.

Considering that the main potential US adversaries in a WW3 scenario would be North Korea, Iran, China, and maybe Russia....I'd think that we'd be attacked from the west. So navy bases in Hawaii and San Diego would probably be prime targets, along with major west coast cities like Los Angeles and San Fran

Everyone is shitting their pants bc NK has a nuke. Their rockets are worthless. Park two Aegis cruisers off the coast and those rockets are toast before they leave the strasphere
Now, NK has MILLIONS of mortar shells that would rain down on Seoul essentially destroying the entire city without much of a countermeasure besides preemptive nuke strike or counterbattery attack after the first salvos...this is what should concern us

The best way to defeat NK is to follow the example of OIF in 2003. Decapitate the ability to communicate with the central command structure along with a simultaneous strike on NK's artillery.
