Prayers sent.

I don't post much but this is a sensitive subject for me.

Our oldest had emergency surgery at Children's Hospital at 3 weeks old. Doctor said it was a routine surgery. Didn't help. As a first time parent, having to give your 3 week old son to a doctor for surgery, nothing was routine about that.

Prayers for you and your son.

My daughter had surgery on her feet at four months, so I understand. Prayers sent. Let us know how it goes.

Done.

Been there with that hopeless feeling seeing a 1 year old need that "goofy juice" for a minor procedure. Then you have to sit in the waiting room until the Dr lets you know they are awake (that 30 minutes might as well have been all day). And as soon as they wake up, you get to hear them screaming and they are inconsolable for several reasons.

I pray I never have to witness that again.

One of the toughest things I’ve ever been through. On the outside I look calm to keep the wife and in-laws settled, on the inside my heart and brain are running a thousand miles an hour.

Praying for your little man, I’m sure he’ll be fine.

Update… he’s good, safe and sound. Unfortunately, neither anesthesiologist nor surgeon could get a blood vessel for the IV, so surgery was cancelled and they’ll have to have a radiologist on hand next go round.

Now we get to take more days off a month from now, spend money on tolls, food, etc. and do this all over again. Worst part was hearing him in the recovery room. Really not looking forward to that again. But, we’ve got our little boy so all the rest is just that.

Thanks to all for your thoughts and prayers!

Will be continuing to pray. It’s hard to be strong when our little ones are in circumstances like this.
