Does this increase your odds of winning?!

Of course it does. Every billion increases your chances greatly.

I did just read an article that stated you could technically purchase every combination of numbers and profit on your invest, if you're the only winning ticket.

Take that, Powerball.

Seriously? How many billions would you need to do that?

Odds to win are 1 in 292,000,000. So you'd multiply the 292,000,000 by $2, cost of each ticket.

584,000,000 would be needed to buy every combination.

Plus you add a super big amount to the pool from purchasing said tickets. And you'd also win all of the lower prizes.

5 billion is more than the winning amount though.

That's a lot of money...... I would use about $10 million of it and let the rest just sit there and live off the interest.

All is well. If your ticket was the ONLY winning ticket, you'd make $576,000,000.

Edit : After you factor in having spent $584,000,000 on tickets.

Simply submitting/printing that many tickets is an impossibility. You'd have to employ a thousand people across multiple stores provide them with hundreds of thousands of dollars to buy the tickets, hope they don't just take your money and run, and convince them to do all this for a payout that doesn't destroy your margin.

Correct. Your odds of completing this task are about the same as is winning the lotto.

Kind of a double-edged sword, eh?

I'd imagine you could make a deal with lotto office to where if you cut them a check for 298,000,000 they would work with you on logistics
