Racism in America is just the Marxist assumption in the form of a professional Grievance Industry that assumes human beings belong to tribes,and that the State must intervene of the behalf of one tribe and against another.It is divisive by design. Liberalism gets to pick winners and losers according to race, and The State enforces it through coercion.
In this way, your AA friend can imagine that his white neighbor is wielding an imaginary "white power" which alleviates him of ownership of his own personal failings. And he can imagine that this "white power" has also somehow led to his white neighbor's success.
If you suggest that out of wedlock rates in 1960 were roughly 20% for blacks and are now approximately 80%, and that this might somehow account for social regression and pathology, you are likely to draw a blank. You might even be called a "racist", if you are lucky.

Him and people like him try to change the definition of racism to better suit their naritavive. It's pretty perplexing, I'm not sure exactly where this originated from but I do know it's a staple of the entire SJW culture. They use this new definition to push their agenda and use it as a counter anytime they get called out of their shite.
Even if you were to use their own logic, I'd still find odd that being prejudice is in any way better then racism. And to add another thing using that logic could still justify racism against white due to the crisis whites face in South Africa and other African countries

And what the man said in the OP was not unreasonable. He did not say that a black person could not be a bigot. And, his definition would apply to the black mayor of a majority black city if the Mayor acted in a racist way.

Tell me where I'm wrong. I've been on here long enough to know exactly where it's headed. This board is 99.9% white, you're not gonna any sort of dissenting opinion. President Obama has the power to be racist, but he is clearly not a racist. In spite of what people say, he has done a lot to improve race relations.
I could see a black city government engaging in a racist act, but I suspect it would clearly be an anomaly.
