Bingo. Today was downright pleasant. 40 degrees and dry. I had my windows down rolling down the interstate. You throw in gray clouds and moisture and it's flat miserable.
I do need to restock my freezer with gumbo, though, so I'm ready for a good weekend cold and wet spell.

GFS is all over the place from run to run. One run shows an icepocolypse, the next run will show no precipitation in the same time frame.

got a flight getting to NOLA on evening of February 6th...am I looking at issues with this system?

Not even sure there's going to be much of a system at that point. Looking more and more like the following week might be but theres only minimal model support at this time.

Yeah, the 12z is warmer and less energectic on the precip maker. I'm still expected one more good cold snap mid February but can't nail down the when specifically, much less the precip possibilities.
