Rainfall rates topped 2" an hour over the Shoals in NW Alabama for around 2 and a half to 3 hours tonight. Much more of that and they would have had some serious problems. Some of that is flood prone.

Velocity is interesting on that one, too.

And it popped considerable lightning as it grew.
