Options are Pheonix, Salt Lake City, Winston-Salem, Charlottesville, and Nashville. Pros/cons?
My rankings would be-
Detroit, MI diverse neighborhoods, vital/ no cons
El Paso, TX vital neighborhoods, diverse/ no cons
Jackson, MS diverse vital neighborhoods/ no cons
Dickinson, ND vital diverse neighborhoods/ no cons
Cleveland, OH neighborhoods that are diverse AND vital/ not a very good Mardi Gras celebration there
Hope this helps.

Nashville #1 and no need for the other options

1. Nashville
2. Salt Lake City
Those are the only 2 I'd consider. Both are great cities. I'd prefer to stay in the South, so I'd choose N'ville, but SLC is truly an awesome place, plus, I love snow.

In my opinion, you have a great list of choices.
Personally, I would choose Salt Lake City.

It's how I roll.
I'd go to Charlottesville R-D or Salt Lake

I'd probably go with Nashville as number 1 with Phoenix as number 2.
I'd also consider Winston-Salem, but would rather be in the Raleigh/Durham area.

Phoenix is great but I am thinking about moving to my condo in San Diego if I can figure out a way to work remotely

Currently live in Nashville and love it. AZ wouldn't be too shabby of a place to live though. Nearly took a job offer there.

Phoenix is a cool place, man. The west is best.

I moved from Baton Rouge to Salt Lake City about 6 months ago.
I love it out here.
Look me up if you end up out here.
Good luck with your move

This is eerily similar to my list for this fall when I move:
Phoenix is high on my list, I have some family there and have visited and really enjoyed it.
Nashville seems like a really awesome city, I've seen really good reviews/recommendations.
I'm moving from Baton Rouge though, so I'll literally take anywhere that's not here (hell I haven't ruled out Memphis yet)

I don't get why everyone is saying SLC? It's tough not being a mormon in that city.
Nashville 100%
Nashville 100%
