Anyone out here know about pools?

Sand keeps pumping into pool.

Have changed sand twice. Changed laterals. No cracks in stand pipe. Changed out all gaskets on valve.

Anyone have any idea how it is getting in the system?

Suggestions for a very knowledgeable pool guy.

You need a professional at that point IMO.

I know almost nothing about pools, other than if , you keep sneaking into my neighbor's yard and dumping sand into his pools at night, he ends up asking for advice on the OT of all places.

ETA: seriously, though, good luck with the problem. I am curious as to the outcome.

Never mind what I said. The spider valve is the only other thing I can think of.

Found this in an article:

“New sand has alot of finer particles that pass through the filter and back into the pool. This will decrease as the sand settles down.”

Might be a dumb question, but has your pool been green at any point during this process? If it was green and you shocked the pool then it could be dead algae. Dead algae has a shell and it can look like small piles of sand after you kill it.

Not an expert, but if you haven’t replaced your wagon wheel gasket under the spider handle recently, that could be an issue. I had to replace mine like every other year.

Ride up to pinch a penny off Sherwood at Coursey...hopeful you'll catch one of the owners(younger married couple) up there, both of whom might be the most knowledgeable in BR.

Ok..... I really appreciate the good advice guys. Evidently early Sunday morning is the best time to get anything serious out of the OT.
