LINK

Link is ABC7 News.

The officer was an LASD Sergeant. This happened literally 6 miles from my home. I was running errands when the officers were responding, and remember thinking it was weird that there were no ambulances or fire vehicles. I didn't realize what was going on at the time.

Prayers to the family. It's crazy seeing all of this stuff happen on the news, but it gets real knowing that it happened so damn close. I was freaking out just now when I found out about it because I personally know an LASD Sherriff's Deputy.

Not on any MSM outlet really. Probably because it was a response to a burglary that resulted in an officer-involved shooting.

Edited for spelling.

Sorry man. It's the Flordia fans' fault for getting LSU fans so upset today.

I don't know any of the details of the actual shooting, but you have to wonder how many cops are going to get shot being overly cautious.

He should have pulled up to the suspect's house, got out of the patrol car, taken a knee, then got back in and drove away.

Admins Doin' work.

The officer responded to a burglary, got shot during an initial altercation (read that he got shot in the face). Another officer arrived, the suspect tried to steal the wounded officer's cruiser, -and then fled on foot, eventually being shot in the upper torso and arrested.

The officer that was killed was still alive apparently when he was thrown into a cruiser and rushed to the hospital ~1-2 miles away, but nothing could be done.

Reports said that there were roughly 100 officers at the hospital after the situation had been contained. The guy was well known and liked among his peers, both city- and county-wide.

So can everyone now take a knee during the national anthem to protest the epidemic of police officers being killed by thugs?

Apparently not newsworthy for CNN... Douchebag Don Lemon would spend a week on it if roles reversed.

Absolutely right. And they'd darken Donnie up like they do. Pay attention to his skin tone. If he's in the streets or has black leader on set ole Don is a few shades darker.

One of the news stations out here just had an impressive video of the procession into Los Angeles on the 14 Freeway through Agua Dulce.

Well over a mile, closer to two miles, of LEO vehicles escorting the coroner's vehicle and the wife/family of Sgt Owens through the winding mountain pass tonight. At every overpass there were LEO/FIRE/EMS vehicles stopped and lit up.

Very somber scene. Seeing it at night from a helicopter's view is incredible and heartbreaking, especially when you start hearing the in-flight reporter saying the family was inside the coroner's vehicle.

What are they wearing? Do they dress in fatigues all the time or only when a 187 occurs?

In situations like this, there should be immediate public execution, if the cops can't pull it off first.

"see, we saved one"

He's not getting away, that doesn't piss cops off.

It's the others that they arrest daily that are out the next day that have cops in trouble.

Two days ago I saw a guy walk into a subway, the staff started saying "hey, hey!!" because they had seen the guy before....he quickly grabbed 6 bags of chips and ran away.

If they ever caught him....maybe the 24th or 59th time.....would the punishement fit the crime?

"On October 5th, this poor man only stole $3 in chips, and you guys sodomzed him with a broom?"

The problem is the police departments can't police themselves. You have cops who blatantly kill and murder people, and yet most of the time they get a paid vacation and hardly any punishment. That is where the turmoil is at, and there are plenty of examples of black people being killed/shot for no reason, also plenty examples of white people too. It isn't about race, it is about the police being the judge/executioner all in one.

Yes the problem isn't when a cop shots or kills a thug as you put it, but when cops shot and kill innocent people. If you want to blame the BLM then you are a retard, as it is the main stream media that is shoving this shite down our throat to cause a divide amongst us. This problem can easily be solved when cops star getting punished for their actions, like that woman who is being charged w/ manslaughter for shooting the black man who was down on the ground being tazed. shite like that is the problem, and too bad some dumb whities want to keep biting the race bait set up by the main stream media.

I don't get how people can not think that cops can murder someone and then get a slap on the wrist and its all good. It isn't about white cops killing black people either, as there are plenty exmaples of non white cops shooting and killing whites, a good example is that jealous Marshall who shoot that guys car up with his kid inside. bullshite like this is THE problem. Don't let the media trick you.
