Holy shite. I was at a Whole Foods yesterday. Could have just as easily been me impersonating an officer.

Really makes you think.

I impersonated an officer once. When the real cops showed up, I beat up the nearest black person and shot a stray dog. Cops fell for it and let me go.

register ammunition?

A few years back a few areas passed laws making the registration take place at purchase.

I imagine it went something like this:

Cop: Hey you! Stop right there, you're under arrest.
Perpetrator: No, You're under arrest! I'm the police, see my knock-off badge.
Cop: Awe shucks, I guess you're right, ok

If I was the cop he cuffed this would be the best kept secret in America.

When I go to Whole Foods, which is rare, I always go to the one in Tenleytown. No homeless people bothering you at that one.

Retards who are unable to be cops, but want the power and feeling of being "authority".

This is my normal post-work Whole Foods. It's a strange mix of college students and homeless people both inside and outside.

Isn't Foggy Bottoms the hot spot for young DC residents now? I feel like I see that area talked about everywhere.

I'm sure the guys down at the precinct will have some fun with the cop that got himself cuffed. 99% chance that he just picked up a new nickname that he will carry with him for the rest of his career.

If you've seen the average MPD officer you wouldn't be surprised that one let this happen.

Honestly...that's kind of funny.

Before I went to law school, I was at a stoplight in Conway, SC trying to turn left into a shopping center to get a new phone. In front of me was a car that failed to turn left when the green arrow came on. I honked the horn twice, the car turned left and I went into the store. I really thought nothing of it at the time.

When I got into the store, I was soon approached by a woman who flashed me a badge and told me she was a cop. She said I had violated the law by honking my horn at her. I called her an idiot and told her that a horn was on the vehicle for a specific purpose: to alert people of a traffic violation. She again threatened me, pulled out a set of handcuffs and then threatened to arrest a store employee who attempted to intervene.

At that point, I asked for her name, department and badge number and I asked to see her badge again. She proceeded to run out of the store and drive away. The store clerk got her license plate number, we filed a police report and she was arrested. We found out later she got jail time because this wasn't her first offense.

I still to this day have no idea what the allure is of impersonating a cop, especially when there's no financial or material benefit to the offender.
