Well there's also a difference between acupuncture and chiropractic medicine, and there are certain conditions that have shown real improvement with acupuncture. Both of them are not traditional medicine, but I would trust acupuncture more than chiro.

Young co-worker suffered that same stroke last year from chiropractor. She was out of work for six months and spent about two of those hospitalized.

Chiropractors are not medical doctors.

chiropractic medicine

No such thing. There is nothing medical about those performing this.

It's not real medicine, don't get me wrong. I think it is dangerous as hell. Still, I think they call homeopathic medicine a thing, so I gave chiro the benefit of the doubt.

Someone in here really likes chrio/homeopathic medicine, every post on this third page is downvoted.

Several people I know had severe migraine headaches while in cillege, and started getting neck adjustments- it gave them total relief, and they have been healthy for many years. It all depends on the previous injury and posture of the patient, and how responsible the chiropractor is.

You're probably right about the disk part. Thinking back it may have been a hip displacement problem.

I tried the anti-inflammatory wait it out / rest technique for my problem. I was hesitant to go to a chiropractor, but a year after the injury anytime I ran or was on my feet all day I was left with intense pain in my leg near my groin area and soreness in my hip/lower back. I went to David Corbin here in Baton Rouge. That was about two years ago and I haven't had that pain since. He's been the chiropractor for the LSU track and USA Olympic track teams so I assume he really knows his stuff. Especially pertaining to sports injuries.

Eta: Co-pay was only $30 so it didn't cost much.

Speaking in absolutes on a message board, can't argue that.

chiropractors don't create blood clots to cause strokes

she must of had them in her legs or loose traveling.

I don't blame the doc, who must feel awful about it
