Oh yeah the widebody has issues but the 318/19/20/21 is a solid plane.

It's their error-proof autopilot that has the biggest issues IMO

Age of the plane is the issue IMO. They act like age doesnt matter as long as it is well maintained but at some point the stress of thousands of flights takes its toll on an airframe.

You'll be fine. Remember the car ride to the airport is more dangerous than the flight itself

Ya I know, I've grown accustomed to the odds. I'd just like to avoid raising them even .01%

What's up with Israel? Joining the IDF?

Well, since women mostly stay at home making sandwiches, it's more likely that when an accident does occur, a man will run into another man. Duh

Is that a normal flight pattern for Barcelona to Dusseldorf, aside from the crashing part. It looks pretty far off course.

looks normal to me and lines up with the route it took yesterday

ETA IIRC from when I flew into/out of Barca, the town is surrounded by mountains and we had to loop out over the sea around them to approach the airport

Because women only make .77 to every dollar a man makes?

Side note I tried to turn into the exit lane at this restaurant the other night. Thought the entrance was valet only and I wasn't paying 3 bucks.

Wife gave me the business for dat

I'm pretty sure this is the first blemish on the Airbus record to date. I knew nothing about the autopilot issues, but I fly on a brand new A319 for work all time. Love that thing. My dad also works for Airbus on the A330's. Never had any issues, but that thing is so technologically advanced I can see how it would be difficult to monitor something as simple as autopilot.

And it crashed in France.

So right now I'm send my prayers to the French people.

If you don't mind..... Would you give me an update with the nationality of everyone on board so that I can light candles for each. I don't wanna leave anybody out.

Thanks.

No.

One of the first A320 flights ever crashed, AF296 in 1988.

There have been 12 incidents with the A320 that have resulted in loss of life. And that's just the A320.
