Two weeks ago, the same plane was used to fly the Argentine national team with Lionel Messi on board to San Juan, Argentina for a World Cup qualifying match.

The BAE-146 is an old design, but it's never been a dangerous type. Lots of them flew for regional carriers in the U.S. during the 80's and 90's, and are still flown all over Europe, with no issues.

maintenance pig, my company bought a company that had a few of them, couldn't get rid of them fast enough, a mechanic described it as a series of oil leaks connected by four engines

Any vehicle designed in the UK is gonna leak oil. It is a maintenance pig.

Watching news with my 5th grade daughter, she says it's like that movie, "We are Marshall ". Guys hurt didn't make the trip. On the news they said coaches son couldn't fly since he didn't have his passport.

This is so sad. Was this the same team that just won the Gold at the Olympics?

I got the ESPN update at like 4 this morning and at first I thought it was the Brazilian national team.

Sucks that this happened.
