I don’t know about PD but there isn’t jack shite in Janesville. Lots of cool stuff to do in Natchez though.

Given the proximity to Bossier City, I would choose PD.

I visited Jonesville when I was a freshman in college with some roommates who were from there. Ferriday is a great place to find bear wrestling and bar fights. Also when you are a freshman, Jonesville is a great place to find local girls who want to make out with you at the Sonic on a Friday night. That's all I got.

I’m from Jonesville and you won’t find a decent bar. Jabonky’s might work in a pinch or the downtown but I wouldn’t count on it. It is close to Natchez though.

Looking for the best bar options in either. And if anyone knows of a good hotel option in either place, that would be good info as well.

I have stayed in a nice Mom and Pop hotel in Jonesville a couple of times. Believe it is called the Edward. its clean, good size rooms. if you arrive after about 9 you have to call the onsite manager to check you in.

I 2nd the Ewards, the owner is good people. The downtowner is a place you may not want to go unless you are prepared for a knuckle checking event. Go to natchez and check out Bowies and fat mama's.

If you like deer hunting, Plain Dealing. If you like duck hunting, Jonesville. If you like neither, you'll have a lot of time on your hands.

There is some pretty damn good deer hunting around jonesville as well, especially east going towards the river.

I would stay in Jonesville. Plain Dealing is isolated like a mutha.

Literally all there will be in PD is a nice truck stop casino that doesn’t serve beer and a very good Mexican joint that may or may not serve beer.

Best advice would be to stay in Bossier and just drive the 20 or 30 minutes to PD daily to do the job.

You won’t be able to stay in PD anyway as there is no hotel.

Jonesville is 25 min from Natchez and 40 min from Alexandria . Plenty of bars
