Has anyone ever had to repair a leaking pvc pipe in your slab? Instead of breaking concrete and replacing which will cost thousands, I've heard it's possible to have a liner installed. Just curious if anyone has experience with this and the results.

Depending on the location of the leak, tunneling can also be effective

LINK

Was just at a conference and one of the vendors was Nu Flow who specializes in this exact field. Pretty incredible. They do exactly what you are talking about.

Just had this done. I just called a local plumber and they snaked a flexible pipe through the cracked one and tied it into the plumbing system. So basically it is a flexible pipe inside of rigid PVC pipe.

Do you know if this can be done with a small gas line for a fireplace starter?

Who did you use and how much was it? Mine is a 2" line under my kitchen.

I talked to one guy last night that said they do 3/4" lines and up so he might do your gas line.

The cured in place liners we use require steam to cure. I don't think you'd want to do this around natural gas.
