Great find. Looks like the Calcasieu Marine bank on left. Paramount Theater down the block. I remember there was a cool old barbershop in the lower level of the Charleston. Downtown was hoppin.

I miss the old downtown. Had to go through the turning downtown into an outdoor mall, then the dumbest rerouting of Ryan street through a maze of brick structures and you know the rest.
I don't see it in that postcard image but my great grandfather was owner of the Chavanne Bldg. He was a developer and business man.
