My great grandfather his wife. She had 15 kids by this point. 8 of which were alive.

He would be dead less than 7 years later from what appeared to be cancer. The only male in my family to make it past the age of ten and whom also didn't at least make it to 85 in roughly 160 years.

That may have been taken right before his crash. I remember that Bill Hickman was a stuntman and teaching him to race - was driving a car with trailer and was first to the crash. Hickman also was the stunt driver/actor for black Charger in Bullit. Liked his tightning the seat belt before starting the chase

edit - referring to James Dean phot

Taken around 1902 I believe. I think my ggm is 12 in this photo as she was born in 1890.

Left to right top row: My great grandmother and my 2nd Great Grandmother.

Left to right bottom row: My 2nd Great Aunt and my 2nd Great uncle.

These are all on my father's mom side of the family. It is the only photo that we have that has my 2nd Great Grandmother in it.

I knew my great grandmother. I barely knew my 2nd great uncle and 2nd great aunt as they both died when I was really young. Oddly, my great grandmother was born before them both and outlived them 4 and 5 years respectively when she died while I was in the 4th grade. (She made it to 99 years)

I had that exact calculator (TI-1200, I believe). Yes we were in awe of it, that it could perform mathematical calculations so fast.

Slightly deceptive given his height and very low weight. he was over 6ft and maybe 140lbs.

But she was not a woman to be trifled with.

When her husband was dying, a man came to her front yard peddling something. He was rebuffed, and an argument ensued about him leaving. Learning her husband was incapacitated, he made a pass at her. She shoved him down the steps. He made a comment about it being good her husband was dying somehow.

She walked down the steps with a pecan filet pestle. And in front of her kids, the kids she was baby sitting, and a few other women without their husbands/older sons due to the war.... Beat him to death.

She did not frick around
