I put the O/U at 3.5 weeks from time of completion until the brand new street is cut apart because utility X, Y or Z wasn't coordinated to get their shite in the ground during construction.

There will be 500 change orders that tax dollars will be responsible for.

It will never be ready in time

I'd take the under.
I know the city is trying, but they need to coordinate:
1) incompetent public works dept
2) incompetent sewerage and water board
3) incompetent entergy
4) incompetent AT&T
5) incompetent Cox
That's a lot of incompetence.

there has been a street in that location for 300 years.
underground conditions are unknowable and endless in possibilities
the only way to get that work done is with knowledge that there will be change orders due to changes in scope

I'm sure Landrieu Concrete submitted an honest and accurate bid, definitely not intentionally low to win and quadruple the price.

I remember moving my business into the north side of the quarter. They had to redo phone/internet components which meant they also had to go under the streets.
It was like King Tut's tomb down there. And I only saw it from the street level.
Eta: of course a week's amount of work took two months to get done.

Wouldn’t one think after 300 years we just might have acquired some knowledge?
Only a bureaucrat or GC would speak such nonsense.

I thought this would be about cleaning up all the vomit and urine.
