for me I started a program called Optavia - pricy, but it works. I started it at the beginning of the Pandemic when we were stuck at home, and I dropped from 345 to 175 in about 11 months or so.

basically it was a "fueling" which was around 120 to 125 calories every 3 ours - 5 times a day, and a meal of 1 lean protein and 3 vegetable servings, however there was little to no sugar, no high carb veggies like corn, carrots or potatoes. no alchohol, no milk and cheese.

the program worked.

I have learned from stopping and gaining some back, that the need to follow that program is not the only way to go - you can incorporate Atkins bars/shakes periodically and then a healthy mean, and the weight will come off easily.

I am back on the plan, loosely, to get back to the 175 goal i had set originally, and i figure ill be close by New years or after.

just eat good things, exercise and cut out soda, candy and most all junk food and it will happen, and you will feel loads better too.

also drink a ton of water - when your losing, that flushes the weight your burnign out when you pee.

People laugh but I call it Slim Slow.

It took me 8 years to go from 330lbs to 240lbs. I did it by limiting my calorie intake and not depriving myself of any type of food. Eat whatever I want but less. Never finish a plate and always leave something left over. Over time, I cannot eat nearly the amount of food that I used to eat if I wanted to. This approach had me losing about 10-15 pounds per year. It was difficult because it was 4 years and 50 pounds before the first person noticed that I had lost any weight. Once I plateaued at 240 about 6 months ago, I joined Planet Fitness and am down to 214 with a goal of getting to 195.

I am 50 years old and have always had a weight problem. I lost 100 pounds two different times in my younger days to only gain it all back. This was more of a lifestyle change.

Found out that I had a thyroid problem. Getting that corrected made it possible to lose weight. I majored in vegetables and lean protein and minored in fruits and grains.

Start by changing your relationship with food. Your mindset should be Eat to Live, not Live to Eat. Only buy things at the store that are nutritious, not just calories. Stop drinking sugar filled sodas, replace them with diet sodas, and even then conservative use. Use a special occasion, like birthdays, parties, etc. to “cheat”. And maybe Sunday breakfast and game day foods. It’s not a diet, it’s a lifestyle.

Then, find a good workout group. Like CrossFit or those new Bootcamps popping up. You’ll find that you’re holding yourself accountable more so than you would by trying to workout by yourself.

Don’t use your scale as your success rating. Use your waist size instead. Use the weight increases in your workout as a measure for success.

Calorie loss doesn't come out in your pee or poop. It comes out in your breath.

Try to crap out 2 more pounds of food than you take in everyday. If the differential is unachievable, gag yourself to puke it out. Throwing up is a great way to build abs. Masturbate 10x as much for a sick upper body

Drink water mainly, or unsweet tea. Keep active, meaning do anything from walk/jog/run your area to push mowing your grass.

Pretty much staying away from soda or coke, I do it by saving having a coke until I get a pizza or big burger or go out to eat or something which isn't very often Once, twice a month maybe.

Be sure you're getting green leafy or fibrous vegetables, do that with salads. Then as far as salad go vinegar is a good dressing you don't have to ranch it or use any dairy based dressings often.

Carnivore diet for the past couple months. Best decision ever. Lost 20 lbs and now at my desired weight. More importantly, and feel great and will continue eating this way for however long.
