People turn into absolute mushbrains when flying.
Even the most decent people lose intelligence and courtesy when overcrowded, and a commercial plane is the prime example of it.
Buses, cruises, stadiums, and public housing are other good examples.

Trying to make their connector flight. Lots of people are being booked with little to no time to make the connector and the airlines will not allow you to sit at the front of the plane if you have a short layover.
Basically airlines suck all around with customer service even more than ever.

Standing after a flight is normal, rushing down the aisle is not. Those people just suck at life.
I love flying Southwest more than the other airlines, but my biggest gripe is boarding. Why are the B and C groups crowding the staging area? There is ample time for standing in line, why the rush?

Should have gotten up and pushed them back

I'm gonna play devil's advocate and say what causes this rude behavior is the fact that you have a bunch of slow as molasses people unloading. It should take about 10-15 mins tops to completely unload but some people are so freaking slow getting their stuff down and then getting off the plane that it takes 30-45 minutes. I agree it's rude to rush to the aisle but on the same note, I kind of get why they do.

Lots of people are being booked? They had no choice as to what flights they took? They just go onto Google flights, input two airports, and are randomly assigned a flight?

What? This is one of the most absurd claims I have ever read on this site.

This was going on long before the pandemic. These are the same people that when they get on the plane, they will take the first seat they come across and then have to be asked to move to their assigned seat. By and large I observe older people and young families let everyone else off before they start to exit. I fly out of a small regional airport on 40 seaters and it doesn't happen on those planes - only the big connection planes. Overall, it's a small number of passengers, but it is so annoying.
