People who overtalk to make a point: Do you cut them off?

Let them talk. They will usually say something so stupid that they wish they hadn't spoke at all.

If you are talking about work meetings, yes, you have to. If it is a conference call, just tell them you will discuss it offline. That way you can control the conversation with them at a later time. If it is in person, just say the length of the meeting does not allow for the discussion to go further and you will discuss it at a later date.
