Not my job anymore. But I must have been so bad at it they made me the manager of the bar and I increased the profits two fold over the course of the year. Most people tip well and are courteous. A select few are trash and if/how they get served was of little concern to me our volume was so high. I miss the bar business.

You're a falcons fan and a bartender?

How many levels of trash are you?

That's fine. It's also fine not to tip. Do whatever you want. Enough people tipped me I could care less about the 1-2% that don't. Just dont expect me to come to you first, give you free stuff, "hook you up". charge your phone, or other shite. If you just don't tip but aren't a douche odds are I'll still make your drinks correctly. If you dont tip and are an absolute douche, chances are you were getting watered down drinks.

I always tip a dollar a drink unless I'm ordering stupid hard mixed drinks. It's not expensive and the bartender will remember.
it's cliche(I think?) but I usually leave a pretty generous tip on my first drink, and the bartender will usually take care of you pretty well after that.

FWIW, 10% is too low for even poor service IMO.

I disagree. And I have worked as a server before.

I normally always tip 20% unless I get really horrible service. Then I'm only giving 10%. But for me....the server's attitude plays a lot into it. I understand sometimes stuff happens that the server has no control over(kitchen backed up, etc). I also know as a server you sometimes just have a rough day at work due to personal stuff going on(bf break up with you, dog sick, you got in a huge fight right before you leave for work, whatever). As long as you have a sincere attitude and are apologetic for any delays, etc...I'm gonna be more forgiving and still tip you decently. Now if you just ignore me, or are rude, etc....I'll never not tip you, but you will not get 20% from me.

If you want better drinks, then tip. Pretty simple. I have bartended a lot in my life and if someone doesn't tip or is a douche they get less alcohol.

Yup. I sure do. So does everyone else. Tip or deal with it, doesn't really matter to me.

So, which is it? Did you make proper drinks for people or not?

Let's say on the first drink, how would you know that they wouldn't tip? Were you watering down drinks for everyone you deemed a "douche?"
