You should

What is cowardly is struggling through each day in absolute misery but knowing you are too big of a pussy to end it.

What an idiotic thing to say.

Anyone reading this crap that is having a hard time, it's not somehow brave or strong to end your life. What you're going through right now is tough but you're tougher and IT WILL GET BETTER. This is only temporary. You're not a burden to anyone, quite the opposite you make others lives better with little things you don't notice because you're in pain and confused.

Suicide in neither coragious nor weakness. It's a lie, it doesn't stop the pain it only transfers it to someone else. It's a permanent solution to a temporary problem. Wait and see how you feel tomorrow.

Not dismissing the chemically imbalanced or clinically depressed, many of us just can’t fail to grasp how good we have it. Many - not all- of our “problems” are not real problems, don’t matter in the grand scheme of things, or are only temporary.

Imagine being born in a fricking hut in the Congo or Amazon region of South America. Talk about poverty….no medicine, no roof, no running water, no food. Imagine being born in as a citizen of North Korea, Afghanistan, China or Russia. Imagine being a Ukrainian dealing with Russia right now. Go stroll through a children’s hospital and see the hand that those children are dealt with. Go chat with the parents whose children have been shot up at their schools. Or look at the crack baby born with a druggy, POS mother, and a deadbeat absent-loser father. Look what hand that child is given to deal with.

Get some perspective, go get therapy and get your Rx filled and carry the frick on.

No one is guaranteed a perfect life, free of adversity, and troubles. That said, many - again, many, not all - problems are self-induced or not real problems at all.

It’s odd to me how people have more sympathy for the loved ones of people killing themselves than the people who actually go through it and do it. But given the state of mental health in this country I’m not surprised

The people left behind are still in pain...the person who killed themselves problems are over. If there are kids involved it is especially selfish...worse than abandoning them because it speaks volumes about how little the suicide valued their own life, they could not possibly value the life of anyone else. Leaving a child to wonder what they did or didnt do is the most self centered, selfish act a person can do. In my opinion.

Suicide is like a bomb going off. The bomb disappears and everything around it is hurt. It is selfish.

Walrus-I cannot imagine what has happened in your life and will not try to know where your head is at, but I can tell you first hand, as a parent of a teenager that has committed suicide, you do not ever want your families to ever go through the pain of losing you. Please
Please please go get some help. There are several organizations you can reach out.

Human beings are, by and large, herd animals. We need one another to be happy and to even survive. Suicide outside of ending one's suffering related to actual physical pain, say terminal cancer with no hope, is a testament to the self-centered, narcissistic nature of the suicide. Most of us live a sizeable portion of our lives serving others and do so because we want to do it, not because it is expected or we are getting something other than self satisfaction from it. It is a big part of human nature. If a person is not doing this there is most likely something seriously amiss in their lives that they should make a concerted effort to correct. Outside of being terminally ill and in unbearable pain there is something an individual can do for another person which will provide the doer with great satisfaction unless they are simply an a-hole. Feed the hungry. Volunteer at church. Pick up trash on the road. Be nice to people. Stop focusing on yourself all of the time and you will find that most people will return the favor. It doesn't matter what one is going through short of severe physical pain which can't be alleviated that can't be tolerated if they will get outside of themselves and interact with others in a positive manner. Life is a gift from whatever you choose to believe but it is a gift...and it is short. Everyone has issues from time to time...its part of being alive...but taking one's life is, in most cases, a selfish act of a person who cares less for others than they do for themselves.

They are also almost universally temporary in nature. Life is a problem, period. We all have them. They often times seem overwhelming and then simply go away...your lifestyle may be drastically different but you are still alive. Taking your own life when others care about you gives the people who care a problem that will NEVER go away...they will suffer and pass that suffering onto their kids. The suicide did that with intent, not by accident.

Perspective is important. There are folks laid up in a hospital bed as we speak fighting for their lives. All manner of ill shite has been done to them this morning...way worse than anything associated with day to day living. They are mostly fighting like hell to stay around. All about perspective.
