I'm still wondering if you've changed your mind from your thoughts in the OP to what you learned in this thread from every EV owner who has responded contrary to your original opinions
Nah it’s not worth arguing with people that don’t know what they’re talking about.

People who are stating their personal reasons for purchasing something don't know what they're talking about?

An EV purchase just allows a company to sell an overpriced full size Truck or SUV. Fleetwide averages are a thing and an auto manufacturer would sell those EVs at a loss to sell a Truck or SUV for 70K or more. Also old batteries are becoming a storage problem for these older EVs. Sadly people who buy into this think they are doing thier part when they are not. Buy this EV to save the planet even though it takes fossil fuels to produce and charge these vehicles which is bad according to the pseudoscience known as climate change, take this experimental jab that hasn't been tested throughly for the greater good for a virus likely created in a lab, accept every aspect of lgbtqia community including grooming and confusing children through mentally unstable adults or you are a bad person, etc. 1/3 of people are stupid and will go along with any ridiculous narrative people in positions of power or authority tell them to go along with. 1/3 are the go along and get along crowd. They don't necessarily believe in this ,but will go along as long as they think it won't change their standard of living. 1/3 are people who question and point out BS. This group ranges from pointing out the obvious to full blown conspiracy theories.

They don’t think, they just do what they’re told

Back and fourth. Forty mile round trip. Sometimes three and four times a day. Sometimes four days a week. I plunked down the cash. Nobody told me to do that. And you plunk down cash on a tricked up, lift kitted pickup, so we all pay. When mine is a little weak in the evening, I back her in to the garage and charge her up. And the next day we start the back and forth all over again. I stop at the gas station for the Big Gulp.

This is a perfect example of being willfully ignorant. I'll never understand people who know 100% they are wrong but still choose to be loud wrong. It's weird, but you do you.
I also like the idea that this poster thinks he knows what he's talking about when it comes to EVs, that's pretty funny too.

That is the length he has to go to to convince himself he's not wrong here.
People do some weird shite to just avoid admitting they were wrong.

wow
Surely, that's it.

Something about EVs reminds me of those little wind-up toys that sometimes didn't work for very long until you pushed them.

Personally, I prefer winding my car back at home while I sleep then having to take it out to a public place for a few minutes to wind back.
