Wait, you talking about that little shopping center with the subway in it off St.Bernard I think?

No it's just off the corner of Elysian Fields and Gentilly. In that shopping center area where the Rite Aid is. It was a McDonald's a long time before and was most recently a Chinese food restaurant

i was born and raised in gentilly before we moved to the east. warrington between leon c. simon and robert e. lee.

i played NORD football at barrow stadium and got my arse kicked by kids from milne. my parents always threatened to send me to school at milne if i was a bad kid.

graduated from UNO in 2000 and ate lunch at teddy's grill all the time.

grandparents lived at paris ave. and leon c. simon until the storm.

i never imagined anyone would describe gentilly favorably

I tokk the back roads from Challmette to Metaire the other day.

Took Judge Perez to Claibourne to Poland, then to Gentilly/Chef then to Franklin then down to Filmore and took that to West End. Road didn't get bad until Lakeview. Even though the rout took us through the Florida area which is the lowest income part of the city.

I currently reside in Gentilly between Franklin and Elysian Fields. It's pretty quiet given the neighbors have lived here their whole lives.

Gentilly has been my home all my life and I don't see it changing in the foreseeable future.

Having Circle back up and running is a Really good thing for the community.

A Walmart grocery store is also being built where the old Gentilly Woods Mall once stood.

Eta: The Walmart is being built directly across from that god awful Winn Dixie.

thanks man

I was in the area at holy cross a few months ago. Seems very nice with a bunch of new neighborhoods, apt, and condo developments. I'd live there.
