Local news says his father is in town trying to assist with police investigation?

I was wrong. I heard somebody that knows him better than me say that earlier today and was just repeating that. I don't know the kid or his family well, only met him and his sister a few times at parties so I had no reason to not believe that. Apparently some of his friends were saying that on Facebook and al.com as part of their reasoning for why he went crazy. Talked to somebody about an hour ago that actually hung around him and his family a lot in HS and he said that was just a rumor.
All my experiences with the kid have been that he's a major douche bag and every time I've heard his name come up prior to this people have only had bad things to say about him.

Anyone named Dewey from Alabama is going to be up to no good. It's just a given.

I witnessed this "man" brutally attacking a UAB student 6 months ago. I immediately called the police while doctors rushed to help the victim. The police were unable to catch Dewey for he ran off too quickly. I am praying for justice for it seems many have been victims of this raging individual.

I looked this POS up on facebook and I have 5 mutual friends. It says he is from the Pelham area, which is 2 minutes from where I live.

I just don't understand why the woman thought it was a good idea to get out of her car. She had been rear-ended twice that is not an accident. If someone rear-ends you twice they don't give a frick about your well being and are likely trying to hurt you. None of this makes any sense.

He might've been high on the pot

Even seasoned investigators say the horrific crash has left them stunned. Police say Green seemed dazed and confused and reeked of alcohol.
“No doubt there's alcohol involved,” said Stan Copeland with Douglas County police.

Not to me. Sounds like a Progressive anti social behavior that has been going on for some time and was never stopped years ago when it should have been.
It is like a festering sore that only gets worse when left untreated. Long time Sociopath.

What year?
I graduated in 04 and my wife in 07. We both know of him just don't know him. My little brother does know him though.
Supposedly him and some of his friends beat the shite out of a camel at the "Monkeys ridin' dogs!" state fair at the amphitheater. Either almost killed or did kill it, can't remember. His parents are apparently well off and are good friends with the right people because he has gotten out of a lot of stuff.

I know the guy, and yes, this story is true. He also jumped the fence while on a high school zoo field trip to punch an animal in the face.
He's gotten away with a LOT because his daddy has money and thinks he just needs a leg up in life.
His instagram is still up: LINK
You can see what kind of lifestyle he lives there. He's very much into the "Jackass" and Bam Margara type of living. Films himself slapping people in the face after they fall asleep. Jumps off of buildings into bushes. Destruction of property. Vulgarity towards police officers.

I guess I need to be a little more secret about my e-identity....or just start drinking with folks.

I know this kid. Always been a huge douche. Psychopath that's always lookin for a fight. I can't think of one person I know that liked the kid. Nobody is too shocked that he murdered somebody, just the way that it went down is shocking.
His dad died a few weeks ago and I've heard people saying he's been going extra hard with the drugs since then.

Yeah unless they're part of his peer group or were younger than him and looked up to him because he was so dangerous, then they would describe him as a reckless, violent a-hole.
I am curious to see how this goes. His family is RICH. Like 1% rich and they're connected to some really powerful attorneys. He obviously won't be let free in a month, but I could see him getting diagnosed with some kind of mental illness to keep him from death row or a federal penitentiary.
