If you parked in the red, you were too close.

Pay the fine and deal with it.

[quote]And LOL at there being a curb cut for HC access, but no actual sidewalks after said cut. [/quo

Washington MADE NOLA do this. Had no choice.

Yeah, I know. I was commenting on how ridiculous it looks.

Reads like there have to be sidewalks to define the crosswalk in the absence of markings on the road. I don't see any sidewalks, but idk if the cutouts count

You want to talk bullshite ticket? I got back to my car on Sunday and found two tickets, written by separate officers 8 hours apart, saying my car was at two different addresses.

Just be glad you're alive, pay it, and move on.

Lol Krones. Maybe it was stolen and returned?

You guys think it might just be a hooker crosswalk, with it just being street corners like that?

What you're looking at is the portion of the subsection which fits on your ticket. The actual provision of the municipal code is:

Sec. 154-923. - Places where stopping or parking is prohibited; no signs required.
(a)
No person shall stop or park a vehicle or other conveyance, except when necessary to avoid conflict with other traffic or in compliance with the law or directions of a police officer or traffic-control device, at any of the following places:
* * *
(6)
Within 20 feet of a crosswalk (if one exists) or an intersection; the 20 feet measurement from an intersection is to be measured from the point closest to the intersection at which a 90 degree angle can be drawn.

You were definitely in violation.

I was parked facing south on Harmony on the left hand side of the street. First cop wrote me a ticket for parking against traffic.

Second guy came by 8 hours later claiming I was parked against a neutral ground on Eighth. I always thought a neutral ground divided opposite lanes of the same road, which isn't the case here.

I realize I'll probably lose and haven't decided whether or not to contest it.

The bold part of your post starts wi "or". So essentially it's any of the above are crosswalks OR elsewhere indicated.
