I know as a grown man I will probably get killed on here for this but my wife and I gave my 10 year old daughter tickets for Taylor Swift concert for her Birthday. I was wondering if anyone knew how parking will work and how early should I arrive to find a decent spot. I would appreciate any assistance.

In dat boat too.

We going out to the area early. It won't be half as many cars as for a football game, maybe not even a third.

If you want a good spot plan on getting there early. Last I went to BCSF all the good parking spots were gone, but we has a tailgate with kegs already set up so I just parked at my fraternity house and walked.

I would park farther away and then walk so you can get out faster once it is over.

Arrive early. I hope you have AWD because the free parking in the Hayfield Lots will likely be marshlike.

Also, prayers sent.

ETA a friend of a friend parked in the neighborhoods nearby and rode bikes last year.

I gave my 7 year daughter 4 tickets and a parking pass to the concert for Christmas. Her mother is taking her and 2 friends.

That's all I got for you.

Luckily my sister in law just moved into the condos by Voodoo BBQ, so my parking will be easy. Good luck.

And you can admit you're excited to go to the concert. Tay Tay puts on a good show.

Just saw this message on The Advocate's website:

quote:

-If you did not buy a parking pass ahead of time, day-of parking ranges from $15 to $30

-If you did buy a parking pass in advance, the color of your permit will correspond to the correct parking lot on campus

W Chimes St on the right side in the grass. You're welcome.

Hint: it's by Voodoo BarBQ on Nicholson.

This isn't "Bayou Country Superfest" that kicks off Saturday. The Taylor Swift concert is a stand alone gig.
Though she is the biggest name. Should be pretty crowded, but not Football game crowded.

I haven't bought a parking pass in the last two years because I have parked for free near the Union like outside of Coates/ Nicholson Hall or last year we were a little later and parked by Christ the King/ Law School.

It is about the same distance as some of the day of paid lots and you can get out of campus pretty easily afterwards!

Prayers sent for having to watch TSwift.
