I posted in one of the last threads that conditions should become more favorable for development towards the end of the month and that still holds. The signals are a bit more of a mixed bag overall then they looked 10 or so days ago but it's hard to deny peak season.

The GFS has a bad habit of over doing low level vorticity between Colombia and Nicaragua. It appears to be doing this on the 18z run. The spin in the EPAC is real and will probably go on to develop but the WCARB spin is probably not real.

Thanks for the feedback everyone. All we can do is watch and be prepared. Peak season is almost here.

The Louisiana National Guard is activated for the next 5 years so if you got a hunch.....the State of Louisiana will assume its an CAT 5.
