Paging PLACEBEAUX - need a transmission shop

Where is a reputable transmission shop in the south Baton Rouge, LSU, St. George area?
My Tahoe somehow is excluded from the other 60,000 plus GM trucks with the broken tranny dipstick tube issue and I have to pay to get it replaced. Screw All Star Chevy and their $650 estimate.
Help please.

It's two bolts and probably costs $12 online

call 667-4111 and ask if they can change it out for you. Probably let you buy online and bring it to them to change out.

According to the dealership, they have to remove the intake and the exhaust manifold. On top of that, fluid leaked out while it was broken and now tranny is slipping / truck won't drive. Need to get it evaluated for damage.
It's going to have to be towed. Can't put fluid in right now. In fact, I have to figure out a tow company as well.

if you call the number i provided they will get it towed for you. They are in Walker though but they won't bullshite you around trying to remove intake and exhaust and shite like that.

Not saying they are wrong, but I would check with an independent mechanic to verify that.

like Hammertime says thats a cheap part and takes a whole 5min to change.
I dont know of any shops around BR I could reccomend but you can purchase the part yourself and change very easily.
What year Tahoe and engine?
