Like in the 1960’s they had the ability to film something in New York and live stream that to someone in LA? I have not heard of that happening, but maybe the tech was there. Seems sketchy though

It was not “streaming” as in the digital domain of the interior. it was transmitted live from the surface of the moon as analog black and white composite video using a transmitter broadcasting at around 2ghz. It was not even high tech in 1969, television was already being transmitted between continents by satellite. The only thing different was the distance, which just required higher gain antennas, more transmitter power., and the packaging. The equipment had to be small enough and light enough for spec flight. My dad was a engineer on the Apollo program, all our neighbors were engineers and technicians working in the space program.

That makes sense, I guess if they had live television at that point(which obviously they did), then it’s kind of the same thing.

My uncle worked for IBM at the time and was part of the programming team for the Mission Control computers used during the Apollo missions. If it was faked there is no way in hell that loud mouthed drunk could've kept it a secret all these years!

Moon landing deniers are freakin retarded. It would have been harder to fake the landing and get away with it than to actually land on the thing.
Let’s ignore all the photographic and physical evidence (including the modern day pictures of the actual landing sites) for a minute and just start with the fact that the Soviets had the ability to track us all the way to the surface and back and had every intention to embarrass us if it didn’t work out.
Then we have 250,000 people who worked on the program who would have to keep their mouths shut for decades when any one of them could become an instant celebrity/millionaire for leaking the story.
Finally, you have several astronauts who were scrubbed from moon missions because of bad behavior, lax training, etc. You don’t think these guys would be a bit salty and likely try to restore their reputations by calling out that it was all a hoax and bring proof?
