Well lets be honest here -- LSU football is in free-fall. O said he was going to be an awesome recruiter, didn't happen. O said he was going to have awesome offensive and defensive coaches, has an 80 year old offensive coordinator who was the O line coach.

I can't put into words how much I loathe the whole process. The little bastards are such attention whores. They put it out on social media early in the process that they have narrowed their choice to 10 schools, then list those schools. Then later they narrow it to just a few. And some commit during all-star games on TV.
And there are actually writers who are paid to cover this shite 24/7/365. Sometimes you can tune into a local talk radio show and hear a recruiting expert talk about where a kid is visiting this week, what recruits LSU has coming to town, and how each visit went. WHO GIVES A FLYING frick? AND WHY? And some of the little bastards commit, then decommit and re-open the recruiting process. It is a fricked up deranged soap opera for teens.

I was flipping channels the other night on my ride home and Mike Scarborough came on to give his "expert" take on each and every kid on LSU's radar.
I was thinking to myself how pathetic it is that calling these kids and everyone he can to get the scoop has been all he's done basically his whole career and will probably be doing it for a long time.

Exactly. He has a cell phone full of phone numbers for 14-17 year old boys. Yay him.
But as long as people have a fetish for recruiting "news", then people like him will have a job.
