I rotate between an 8 pound med ball, a 10 pound dumbell, and a 12 pound med ball.
Even the 8 pound medal gets me going. I guess it's because of the shape. It's harder to hold on to than the dumbell.

I feel ya on the dumbbells man. I'm trying to save up a little extra coin just to buy a few bigger ones than I have, constantly looking on CL and stuff for them, but even then they're still expensive as hell. I just try and do more reps instead. It works okay for some exercises and some not so much for others. The bands annoy me because I hate trying to change them (much like my stupid adjustable dumbbells) in the middle of a routine. Maybe it'd be better just to get a few more sets of handles so I can be super lazy and just grab the band I want like I would with a dumbbell. Hell of a lot cheaper for sure.

Yoga this morning. Desperately need to find a p90x style stretch routine to do every day to help my flexibility
Yoga seems to go by so fast, maybe it's because it's getting easier and easier (save for the one legged sun salutation/standing split maneuver towards the end of the first half). Still a great way to start the day, especially a friday

Tony has a one-on-one yoga routine that's about 45 minutes.

I need to find that yoga routine. You've mentioned it before.
Stretch X from P90X is a nice stretch and I think only like 40 or so minutes. I hardly ever did it though. Prefer yoga or Dynamix.
Update on the adjustable Dumbbells...
Went to Dicks, they have them on display, but none in stock and can't sell the floor display. Can't order, and no other stores seem to have them. WTF. I want what you are showing me, but I cannot pay you money and get them. Cost an extra $100 online (Amazon)

My dumbells? They are Smart something.
The one-on-one should be on the Beachbody website. They are pretty good vids. I have one and it's HARD. It's called "On One Leg".

Eccentric lower yesterday, wasn't nearly as good as eccentric upper I found. Maybe I'll get some dumbbells for next time bc I wasn't feeling it with the bands.

did mmx this morning for the first time.
It was alright...the ones with combo moves plus sprawls really worked me, that was good. But I'm not wild about the kicks, and some of the moves without the sprawls just kinda felt too low intensity. I think on next week's mmx day I'll just hit the treadmill.

Eccentric Upper yesterday. I forgot that it was basically the challenge, but with negatives and some work with dumbbells. The push-ups whooped my arse, no real surprise there. The pull-ups I did this time mainly with the assist. Once I got to the point where I couldn't do anymore pull-ups I'd just jump up to the top of the bar and do the negative. That worked pretty great and I'm definitely feeling that workout today.
This morning was Triometrics. Legs are nice and retarded now after that workout.

Incinerator this morning. This morning felt like a really good workout. Once again I did the pull-ups and everything with the assist instead of the bands. Instead of going fast for the 30 seconds I just do a pull-up and then go as slowly down as possible. By the time chin-ups rolled around I was basically just doing negatives by jumping up to the bar. Things like the crazy shoulder press push-up things that I used to not be able to do I can actually do some of now.
I also took some "30 day" pictures (I think it's technically 32 or something now) this morning. I've been doing keto since I started this latest round, so hoping that it's going to help increase the fat burning. I haven't actually compared the pictures yet but hopefully I can see a little change at least.

I'm proud of you, Doldil. Soon you'll be able to do pullups on your own completely. Eccentric V Pullups are sooooo tough.

I've been all screwed up this week. took monday off due to holiday, did EU tuesday night bc too hungover tuesday morning, did yoga yesterday, didn't have time for my regular routine this morning (although it's because I was attending a boot camp, so I guess that's good). Still it feels weird being all off schedule. I just decided that this will be kind of a "take it easy" sort of week, compared to the rest. I want to do incenerator tomorrow morning and then maybe hit the treadmill saturday, then get back ot the normal routine monday.

Thanks man. I finally got a chance to look at my pictures for a comparison. I can already see the difference it's made. Mind you, these pictures are from day 1 of this round not 120 days ago when I started round 1. Still have a lot of work to do, but seeing the progress makes it that much easier to get up every day and keep pushing. I hit my goal at the end of round 1 of finally being able to do a single unassisted pull-up. Maybe I can bump that up to 5 or more by the time this 90 days is over

Buying a pull-up assist today, even though I feel I get a good workout with the bands I would rather the pull-ups.
I don't get to completely finish week 5 last week so I just restarted again this week. I'm just doing the basic routine due to time constraints with work.
Stepped on the scale today and down a solid 7lbs, I know it doesn't sound like much but I wasn't grossly overweight before hand (6'2 220 at day 1) but all my pants are noticeably looser and I had to buy a new belt bc I couldn't sinch down anymore.

Nice job man. I just went through the same thing with my belt. I realized that when I tried to pull it tighter and hit the last hole, that I was actually an inch past the last hole with no where for it to go.

Posted on 5/28/15 at 9:57 am to Doldil
Yeah that was me too, I pulled it tight how it usually feels then noticed there was no hole there.

Nice man. Seeing the progress really helps motivate you to stick with it.
The pull up assist band is fantastic. Thinking back to P90X, the chair was terrible. I love the assist band. Can't believe I gave my wife a hard time when she bought it.

Bro, when I started my waist was 37 inches. 7 lbs is solid. It's going to melt off. Great work.

anyone done complex upper/lower? I see that those are only on the "elite" block, but the bootleg DVDs I bought from craigslist have those included on there. Are they basically just a tougher/harder version of the existing upper/lower workouts?
Posted on 5/28/15 at 12:53 pm to WG_Dawg
I have them but haven't done either. My wife says they're a good workout though. I'm not sure how to incorporate them into the schedule.
From my understanding they are similar to P90X2, which I also haven't done.
