Hadn't seen this thread pop up in a while. Moving into recovery week of Block 2 on doubles. Have only missed one workout (MMX) so far. Feeling great, but still off from my target. We'll see how Block 3 goes. Got kinda tough since had to start sleep training my son (again).
Actually kinda pissed I didn't take any before pics. I had been partially working out for 2 weeks and thought, meh, not necessary.

After a day of debauchary at beer festival and then gorging myself on pizza, sweating it out doing idometrix feels great.

I'm done with block one of X2 mixed with X3.
X2 is so legit.

Im about to start phase 3. Then doing the elite block.
I'm off during summer so I was thinking of doing doubles hybrid of normal t25 and mass p90x3. What do you think of that?

I did that and it's not bad. I got too lean, tho.

Well I'm nether lean nor muscular. Sort of skinny fat. Though my arms are getting bigger and waist smaller with classic p90x3

Started block 3 this week. Got really annoyed with Decelerator when the second move was something that I couldn't even understand the physics of...do a pushup, lock your knee on to your elbow and then basically lift your other foot off the ground...what in the actual frick. The rest wasn't as bad, and I actually enjoyed it towards the end but that move was stupid.

Crane cracker pushups? Yeah, they're tough. They remind me of Renegade Row Full Lolasanas. You will get better at them. Soon, they will be a lot easier.

I'm on day 3 of P90x3. Some of the moves are pretty ridiculous so far, but its a good workout. I dont remember the first p90x being so complicated with movements.

Are you back at it, bro? How is that shoulder?

I'm starting phase 3 and I had the same feeling.
On another note, I am buying a pull up bar. The bands just aren't giving me the challenge or results. I know I'm going to struggle at first but I think I'm going to see a noticeable difference.

What kind of bar are you getting? One that you put in your door frame or one of those that you can put in your garage and it stands alone?
I was thinking of doing the same thing, honestly. I want the challenge of the pullups instead of bands nowadays.

Damn! Have you seen the doctor? You think you need surgery?
Posted on 3/24/15 at 10:39 am to SabiDojo
probably
its alright though, my right shoulder was hurt way worse a few years ago and eventually you get used to it and work around it. this one hasn't improved much since october, done some rehab on it but it only responds so much.
its alright though, tony will look out for my arse

Yikes, bro! To be honest, I have some aches and pains I should probably be listening too.

sometimes taking a week or two, even a month off can be beneficial, just gotta make sure you don't get too comfortable. for the most part my results have held up well. still eating healthy and i move around a lot throughout the day.

I have a door frame pull-up bar with a pull-up assist thing (not the Beachbody one) and I still find myself using the bands and just wrap them around the pull-up bar. Even with the pull-up assist I can only knock out like 3-5 pull-ups and then I'm gassed. It takes too long to adjust in the middle of an exercise so I've found it easier to just keep adding on to the bands. I'm at the point now though that I have nearly every band that I own strapped to the handles, but I can still feel the burn.
That said, I like to randomly walk by the pull-up bar and hop on it and knock a few out with the assist and also see how much progress I make without it. One of these days my arms will be strong enough to get me to the part where my back actually takes over the work. I can "finish" a pull-up. Meaning If I start with my arms bent I can finish it...but I can't do one if I drop all the way down to a full extension.
