X3 is great. It has a lot of great exercises. Give it a shot. It is geared more towards making you lean. P90X is better for giving you more gains, imo.
Gotcha. I'm a pretty thin guy, I've always been lean. The past couple years I've tried to focus more on putting on muscle, and I have seen some results, but not really much to write home about. My biggest issue now is these love handles that just won't go away. I'd much rather those start thinning out than putting more mass on.

P90X2 will do it, bit it requires some rather expensive equipment.
I looked into 2, but saw you need a big ball, a foam roller, and some other stuff and it didn't even seem like it was worth the trouble.

Do X3 and then combine X3 and P90X to make a hybrid schedule.
Not bad. I'm currently about to finish up week 4 of p90x, so maybe I'll just stick with this for a while then switch over to 3.
I found a guy on craigslist that's selling all of the discs, the workout calendar, and the nutrition guide for $20. We've had some craigslist murders recnetly so I'm going to meet him in public somewhere on Sunday. If I go about 2 weeks with no posts starting Monday please contact the authorities.

You sound like me. I'm 5'11" and not even 168 pounds. I'm strong as an ox, but I want to get to 180 pounds. I want to try BodyBeast, but I need a bench ($150), EZ Bar and weights ($150+), and the DVD's (which are cheap). I look for deals on Craigslist but no one has what I'm looking for.

My personal opinion is that I prefer X3 to X because the workouts are 30 minutes, work the core in almost every workout, and the short duration allows me to up the intensity and vary my workouts more when I do doubles.
In short, X3 is easier to commit to and versatile for people with 9-5's. It's genius.

sounds good. Currently I get up around 6, workout, then start my normal daily routine and leave the house at 8. Sleeping in a few more minute would be nice.

the 30 minute aspect of p90x3 is probably the biggest reason that I am able to stick with it. As someone that isn't in the best of shape it absolutely beats my arse in that 30 minutes. I legit almost puked after AgilityX this week.
The lack of needing any real equipment is great too. I have some of the bowflex dumbbell things, but they only go up to 20 or 25 pounds and that isn't really enough for all the exercises...but I don't really want to spend money on dumbbells. I ordered some resistance bands off of Amazon that have been great since I can't do many pull-ups (even with the assist) but I'm too the point now where the bands aren't really enough I don't think so may need to incorporate a chair or negatives for pull-up exercises.

I got almost the exact same thing, just a different brand. Love being able to just snap together multiple bands to the handles and go.

If I can get to 180, I'll look like a superhero.

So do all the girls. You'll learn to accept yourself as you get older. Don't worry, honey.

Or you turn into that slut Anastasia Steele.

Anniversary was last night, so have to do CVX and Warrior tonight.
I'm really feeling the doubles schedule, so think I'll go with it for Block 2 & 3. Start recovery week (4) tomorrow.
Feel great, down about 10 lbs. Not trying to build mass though, just slim down.

Well I weighed in on January 4th at 190 and I'm only 5'7"....been eating way more clean and seriously cut down on beer and hitting the gym hard. Haven't weighed again yet and probably won't until end of the month but pants are fitting better and face looks thinner already. I'm lifting fairly heavy so may not lose as many on the scale that fast. I would love to be 175 By May 1. That is slightly less than a pound a week.

Talk to me about those other videos from earlier today...are they P90X videos?
Posted on 2/12/15 at 3:52 pm to The Sad Banana
Complex Upper/Lower?
They're P90X3 videos. Just realized they aren't on the schedule though for he normal routines. Maybe just in "bonus month".
