I've been lurking, congratulations to you guys on the success. I'm going to order a copy and get started. I'm 6'1 260 pounds, shite has gotten out of hand. I weighed 210 when I was injured in Afghanistan exactly 1 year ago, after coming home and having surgery I just quit giving a shite and ate like crazy.
My Fitness Pal app and going to an 1800 calorie ADA diet also.

How does it compare with insanity, I have insanity on my hard drive, is it worth the extra 119$ for p90x3 ?

You need to be a coach then. It's free for military and it's a 25% discount on everything.

First off, thank you for your service. I am in a similar boat. I am 6'3" 280, mine is in the mail. I have always been big, played O-line in high school but have never been this out of shape. I did X1 a few times but never made it more than about halfway until I got lazy again. Hoping this thread stays alive to keep us motivated and accountable.
Keep us posted.

To those wondering about doing it in an apartment, thats where I'll be doing mine. Other than plyo in X1 it wasn't that bad. X3 looks like it might have more jumping from the previews Ive seen but I went ahead and got it anyways. My neighbors are just gonna have to deal with it. I'll report back next week when I have it and have more information.

Did 17/6 on The Challenge today. I started T25 in October and got through the Alpha and Beta phases. I wanted to do Gamma too since it's a lot of strength training, but I wanted to start P90X3, Since they are both 30 minutes, I just decided to do P90x3 and Gamma round of t25 together. So I also had Speed 3.0 from Gamma today. What a total bitch doing both those workouts on the same day was. But I feel awesome now that I'm finished. Just tomorrow and one more week of doing doubles then I can focus exclusively on P90X3. Can't wait to be done T25.
T25 is great for lowering your body fat percentage, but in terms of getting ripped, it hasn't really done much for me. I calculated my p90X3 nutrition and I should be eating 3000 calories a day, so I'm trying to portion that throughout the day. Definitely seeing results.
I would personally recommend p90X3 over Focus T25 because there is more variation in each workout and I just have more fun. There is also more focus on strength and building muscle in p90X3. Looking forward to starting Phase 2.

Is it weird that I feel great but cant pick up a pin?

I did CVX last night too. This is a really good workout. My shoulders are killing me. I used 8 lbs, because i did some research and heard that you needed a weight for the entire round. I had to drop the weight and go weightless a couple times.
Tonight is my last workout of week 1. Can't wait.

DAMN! 8lbs is killer. I started with 6 and went down to 3.
I wrap up week one tonight!

The worst was the marching kicks with the 8 lbs weight. Really had to engage the abs on that.

Motivation from others man, keep up the work.
1.5 hours of working out is a lot. Good luck.

True.
I had trouble trying to keep my leg straight and get it more than a foot off the ground.
I wonder if it would be better to bend the knee and raise the leg higher?
