I'm on my 5th week of P90x3 in the AM, Insanity in the PM. However, I treat P90x3 as the main program and Insanity as the supplement. I don't push as hard during Insanity.

Yeah, i have gotten to the point that I just don't care enough to do that shite.

I have found that I can keep my body in good shape with 30 minutes a day 5-6 days a week, and to get it to look a lot better requires too much work.

Same with me. My goal is to eat cleaner and change my lifestyle of bad eating.

Skipped Yoga this morning...mainly because the extra hour of sleep sounded so much better than getting up at 5:30 since I had such a shitty night's sleep on Monday night. Will do it when I get home from work, maybe it will help me relax some.

I started the last week of block 2 this morning (which is week 7). I'm finding that the thrill of getting up early and getting an awesome workout in is beginning to take it's toll. It's getting harder and harder to get going. Early on, I guess I was excited about the workouts and felt good after completing them. Now it seems I've hit a wall. I haven't taken a day off in 43 days though and usually substitute MMX/CVX on the rest day.

Anyone else experiencing this? Does it get better?

Needing some motivation!

TIA

I have to imagine they put in the rest day for a reason, you should take advantage of it and give yourself a break...

Take advantage of your rest days. Your muscle builds during them.

Also, my motivation is simple: I love the results I've gotten, and I want more.

Time for you to reel it back in. I would suggest taking next week off entirely, just doing some stretches, maybe getting some light cardio or basic lifts in (like push ups). Nothing major. Allow yourself to get back to zero.

Then start up again full throttle, taking advantage of the fact that rest days are built into your routine. Most people need at least one day of rest per week to recharge and recover. If you're lifting heavy or to hypertrophy, you may need more rest for your muscles to recover.

Pushing yourself intelligently is the way to go. I would imagine after a week off, you'll be itching to get back into it.

yes i agree, the main motivation is results. I feel like early on in the first 4 weeks I saw visual results and felt strength gains were happening. However the last couple of weeks just feel like there's been no additional gains.

Yeah, there's a reason why you're not making gains, and it's because you're not doing the muscle confusion. You're not getting that aspect if you just keep going full throttle.

I'd rather pay for a program one time than pay monthly for the forseeable and indefinite future. I also like that it's a full body workout routine. I would've never obtained these results on my own.
