So it was hotter on Monday and Tuesday, but now they call this day special ozone action day. This is over dramatizing weather events... it's similar in how people are so anxious to name thunderstorms...

You know what, its summer, it's going to be hot. If you are the kind of person that can't take extreme heat, stay inside.

It's almost like the two aren't completely correlated.

My aunt is actually allergic to ozone and these days are really hard for her. If everyone could follow the steps below she may be able to go outside one day:

On Days when High Ozone Levels are Expected, Take these Extra Steps to Reduce Pollution:

Choose a cleaner commute - share a ride to work or use public transportation.
Combine errands and reduce trips. Walk to errands when possible.
Avoid excessive idling of your automobile.
Refuel your car in the evening when its cooler.
Conserve electricity and set air conditioners no lower than 78 degrees.
Defer lawn and gardening chores that use gasoline-powered equipment, or wait until evening.

That’s all correct. Really hot days have lower humidity which plays a part in ozone formation. Ozone is formed by combustion emissions under certain conditions. We don’t emit ozone, rather what we emit forms into ozone if conditions are right so the idea is to reduce emissions when conditions favorable to ozone formation.

Indoor areas often times have high levels of ozone.
